Strum LA is the musical duo of Evan Ziegenmeyer and Ryan Stewart. Evan and Ryan first met through USC’s acclaimed Studio/Jazz Guitar program, where their partnership evolved out of their natural friendship. With a matched passion for pursuing their best in guitar, composition, and production - they both strive to bring something new to the worlds of guitar and music - their duo was an undeniable fit.

This same mentality is applied to their teaching methodologies and practice. As a student of the Strum LA studio, you will be given the choice to work with either Evan or Ryan to better fit your guitar goals.

**Evan Ziegenmeyer** is not only an accomplished singer-songwriter, composer, and all-around artist. His inspirations draw from the ilk of music’s most prolific composers. As a guitarist, he throws the sounds of players like Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Bill Frisell, and George Benson in a sonic blender, producing a unique mix of music that is grounded in a deep technique with a fun, approachable sound. As a songwriter and composer, one might associate him to the diverse sounds of Paul Simon, the beauty of Joni Mitchell, or the joy of James Taylor. As an instructor, Evan’s mission is to bring out the creative energy of his students, and aid them in the maturation of their personal artistry.

**Ryan Stewart** is a renowned guitarist, first-rate producer, and a malleable modern mixing engineer. In each area of his expertise, Stewart is a master of technique, workflow, adaptation, and fluidity. His guitar chops are grounded in jazz, and rival the prowess of any contemporary. As an instructor, Ryan converges upon his strengths to quickly develop the musicality and ability of his students.
Private Lessons with Ryan are not limited to the guitar, but advanced pro tools, engineering, and production lessons as well.
